Hey Boney, I'm busy! It's Halloween!
You fancy ANOTHER lukewarm "Lean Cuisine"?
Why can't you wait for some savory stew
from my simmering cauldron of spicy ragout?

Get outta that lounger and dole out the treats,
The kiddies crave candy, and we need more meat!
Answer the doorbell, grab one that's slow -
give the others more "Snickers"; they'll never know.

Bagged candy corn, two cans of green beans,
toss in some "KitKats"... Go throw on your jeans!
Now lay off the beer, 'cause I need it too.
How else will I get this kid in the stew?

    great take on the picture and very funny ... kids should be put in stew anyway thank you for entering. So far rhyme is still on top.

      Thanks, Jeannie. I like to write funny stuff, but before I wasn't inspired. Your poem inspired me. I came up with "Lean Cuisine" and ran from there.
