a lotus...

Oh my love

it was my supposition that
the florae is procreated in plants
and plants are located
on the earth

you are not a plant
yet you
impart a baby's breath of the spring

as while cherishing you
I beacon that
a lotus reciprocate it

Oh my love...

This is short and sweet...like the fragrance of flowers, subtle yet lingering...I have always believed that flowers can speak to and for us, when our words fail...a gift of the Creator...Good luck in the contest. Peace, Rhonda

This is a captivating poem so well composed in free verse. A wonderful take on the prompt as you express vividly the color red in nature and human emotion and never mention it by name. Well done!

    Love,
