Taking heed of blissful serenity,
I dip,
Headlong,
Into the abyss of crescent skies,
Peaking upon parted waves,
Descending into the unwavering horizon.
As I travel further,
Waning,
Striving for distance,
I smash through barriers
Of charred light and fragmented arrays of
dissimilar, fibrous, emanations
Of discarded fuel rods,
Diffused thruster sprays
And a heavy array of shrapnel.
As light storms into my helm,
I see images of the beyond,
Blurry, blinding phasers trailing
And entwining within my core engine drives.
And then it appears before me,
As I settle into dust driven descent,
And all magnitude of halting procession,
Gives way to exceeded mass.
Laid before me I see,
What stuns my vision,
Sought by all children and their fantasies
Of stunning space grandeur.
Such regal, ethereal beauty surrounds me
As I twist and curve amongst
Swirling images of
Light, gas and rock,
And I feel run through me,
The enlivened pace,
The striving particles of heavenly,
Celestial bodies.
