In times before
When men and women
Were closer to equal
Than they are now.
The priest had a role of
Teaching the art of excitement.
This art was to be used
in many rites and rituals.
Thinking of the parts and the places
And the faces and sounds of the participants,
The priest had the job of making sure
The excitement was always at a peak.
This would go on for hours at a time
And the climactic effects were quite extreme.
Sounds, scents, textures, foods, drinks,
these and more were all a part of things.
Stories, dances, massages, various erotic acts and sexual positions,
nothing being taboo, excepting that which would leave scars.
The people would stay until spent,
Not caring about the time or how they would make up for it.
It was all about the act and the sensations,
As if the act could do whatever the priest needed done.
As each priest would reach an age age near death
They would find a new priest and to them these things
Would be passed on.
Author notes
This is not really erotica. I was trying to capture something deeper that has to do with how sexual energy is used to do certain things. I have studied a some things that go into this in great detail and am not in the right frame of mind to really do this justice. Call this a study if you will, as I am now not quite sure it fits the criterion for the contest. Arrrrrrrgh.

I think it not erotic too. But, who's to know how the writer judges the conditions encountered or read about happening in past times. Sexual energy is a powerful force that can be used on many levels - physical, spiritual, or imaginary. Imagination is a very powerful force in every field. Women have always been servants of men - the weaker sex - though unjustly. -
Hmm... I don't think I found it erotic, but more something dark and disturbing. Please put your option in the authors' notes. Good luck to you.
