I found myself weeping, knowing sadness & loss.
Your smiling place empty, for life paid the cost.
A breeze, a cloud…I wonder, could it be you?
My soul screams “yes!” willing for truth.
Agonizing memories, happy yet depressing
Wonder of your destination doesn’t leave me guessing.
A goodbye place remains for my loneliness & tears
To go when I’m missing the younger years.
Wisdom and humor chased away all fears.
To dance to this song leaves echoes of longing
Breaking my hold time can’t allow strongly
Wishing brings no reward of you, only memories flood
To take you from serenity I would not even if I could.

Very nice poem full of emotion. It's hard to let go and a lot of people can't or won't but in doing so, they leave the ones who need to move on, in limbo until we are willing to let go and let them find their peace
best of luck in the contest. be well and be blessed
