I opened up my heart to you
Slowly you climbed in
You kept me safe and comfortable
You held me from within
Days and weeks, and months went by
The time lasted so long
Lovely actions were exchanged
Nothing ever seemed wrong
You said you loved me
You said it so sweet
You whispered in my ear
You wished we would meet
Then some things tore you away
We started to drift apart
You were moving, not coming back
Problems you didn't want to start
I counted the minutes
As soon as you left the driveway
Hoping you'd come back
Forever you would stay
But you kept on going
You didn't say goodbye
You thought it'd be best
If we didn't even try
So now I sit and wonder
Why I even shed my tears
It's all because the love we felt
Was real beyond my fears
I can't find you
No matter how hard I try
Erased from my memory
No more reasons to cry

alright, this is the best one thus far, my only comment is "Lovely actions were exchanged" Just a bland line. Makes it sound as if love is a business deal.
Other than that, i love it, its the first one in the contest that I've read and actually liked.
Beautofully written, and so far, you've got my vote.

to have the one you love move away and not want to try for a relationship... the pain and sorrow of it. *sigh*
