She unfurls in dawn’s hint
like dry dream waiting for daylight
to yawn over horizon
she rises, like a swan’s waking
to crawl into mist that scrolls
back from seeping shores
a woman sheds her sorrow, once again,
to slip on faith of more rising
than she knew she had

Your poem is beautiful. Words blow over.

"she rises, like a swan’s waking
to crawl into mist that scrolls
back from seeping shores
a woman sheds her sorrow, once again,
to slip on faith of more rising
than she knew she had"
You had to know these two stanzas would deeply touch my soul, my Sister. Elegantly penned, Sweetie. Congratulations on the bronze, my Friend.

Your Goddess series is (like you) on a roll!
The emotions and imagery was captivating...
"she rises, like a swan’s waking
to crawl into mist that scrolls
back from seeping shores"
Congrats on the Bronze, Carol!

That is the secret to sunrise you know...as earth is never so discouraged with the oft told lies of phasing moon...that sighs refuses to smile her love of sunshine...love this pen friend

Such beauty! Such inspiration! I adore this one! Of course, I was totally taken in by the beautiful internal rhyme. It added such cadence to the already lovely rhythm. "to slip on faith of more rising than she knew she had"--ah, there is such strength and encouragement in that phrase! I just love it. Good luck in the contest.
