The life and soul of vanity
I'm learning from beyond
An imaginary confidence
A new mask I have donned
Flashes from the glamorous
A whole new way of walk
With pride in every step I take
The elegance of Bach
A future far from what I've dreamed
Beyond what I have thought
The life of rich and famous folks
Now seems what I have sought
My friends of old shall always be
My friends, I hope to life
And vanity shall not give in
And leave me only strife
Author notes
This is about my new fashion career and how I hope it doesn't go to my head. If it does, you can shoot me, I promise.
Please tell me what you think

Oh, what are we going to do with you? I hop you're enjoying it. I wonder if you would have believed a year ago that this is what your future would bring. The poem, as always, was perfectly executed, with nary a flaw in the rhythm and a rhyming that seems to come without effort. Though I don't see you nearly often enough, I shall of course tell you if I realize it has gone to your head. I don't think a shot to the head will be necessary.
Though this poem is well done, it seems like there could be more to add to make it....deeper? I don't want to complain though, as of course poems come in many different forms, for different reasons, and mean many different things. All in all, I liked it.
