The way she Moves

I did not notice
her growing up
I see it now
the way she moves
the attention she gets

Excellent tanka! Especially poignant because, not only can one share in this growth from own experiences with children growing up, but I can feel the emotion behind the words. Well done!

i have been back and forth to this a few times since you posted ... its lovely ... the title is gorgeous ...although it is a line from the poem (as it should be ) ... its quite a movement on its own ...

i found this piece to be on many levels ... the pivot is nice and there is that definite shift in time .. the levels for me is it could be a daughter .. or a lover - you know, next door all those years ....

i love it for its open endedness ... sooo nicely done >>> Gina
