I lie here mesmerized by this vision
I cannot forget
A simple glance
Just held by chance
I was moved in ways I might regret
For surely his eyes were
Seven shades of gray
I pray all seven would fade
To escape the ways I felt today
To excuse myself
for having nothing to say
Although Id erase a thousand smiles
Entrance a million
to scream for more
To only see him smiling at me
This stranger in passing
I have come to adore.
I swear the sun was setting
So surely it took me
by surprise
To see a moon and crescent star
Shone proud and Blue
within his eyes
I swear the streets were busy
But not one sound
could I recall
No dream could exist
So vivid as this
To shatter a window, yet hear no glass fall
I know not what compelled me
To deny this chance
with no word spoken
Perhaps in fear
If he ever hold me dear
This vision of perfection
be faded and broken
The beams of light seemed to reach for him
His eyes shown so gentle
as to have never known true sin
His body created by Gods own hand
His walk amongst others,
But alone he did stand
The beauty of all secrets
placed delicately within
The mystery of an Eighth wonder
Sheltered deep inside
…of Him
Far too much to fathom
Why fate has kindled this fire
But to meddle in thoughts
of what could have been
A droplet in the sands
…never quenching this desire
A sultry Thirst develops
This game with No true prize
Living a lifetime,
…within a moment
I have found myself Lost…
In a Strangers Eyes.
