Pondering my thoughts
return to you finding
myself in a situation that's
beautiful, unique and new
Two lost souls in the night
did seek each other out
helped by the hand of fate
became connected by their
inner pain
A love affair started
to unfurl feelings grew
becoming devoted friends
that developed into a
love to strong to comprehend
Our love runs deep and true
within our heart and soul sharing
beautiful whispers in the night
laughter and our tears
It's like we've know
each other not for months
but for many years
we know in our hearts we will
always be friends and lovers of the
Purest kind, built on respect honesty, trust
understanding of each others lives
although we have tried to stop it
our fire for each other rages deep inside
It's a scary kind of love
so intense we often cry
our emotions in turmoil
We ask the question
Why have we fallen so deep?
I long for him to be with me
to hold me as I sleep
but it's a complicated love affair
kind of bitter sweet
to love him in the background
is my promise I will keep

Well...it's not bad...but it's not wonderful...it's...good, okay, decent...I really really hate errors in grammar though...so...that's probably my main issue...and how stanza 5 and 6 are connected by words but not on the screen...don't like it...hm...though the message is true...so, nice job.

My goodness. What truer words have been spoken? This is so personal and ealistic that it was like I was being tapped on the shoulder and told, "How did she know?" This is beautiful. Great work dear poet

ANother thing, I think it would be better if you described more how it is bittersweet. Add a little more to it. Just one stanza but I love it the way it is as well.

It actually helped me kind of realize that I really do love himand even though it's bittersweet, it's love. And it's true, we can't help who we fall in love with. -

tender love...so sweetly written
deep enough to enjoy the beauty and the mystery of the
final stanza, and i love your author question...
it is written that love without physical restrictions
will be like this in heaven...where one's physical limitations such as looks, destinations, status,
are not present anymore, and we will simply be able to
enjoy each person's full presence, bathing and basking
in that joy! Fine lines we face in this physical life,
and if there comes a time when you must leave that love
behind...be sure and take not the pain, but the joy
to seek out WHAT should be yours all along!
