Only a mother's love
can prove true.
I welcome you
into my loving arms.
I cherish you with all my heart.
While you were gone
my heart ached
and tears of love were shed for you.
Life is hard and
choices we do make.
We must move on
and move forward
from this very day.
Freedom has been granted.
For this I always prayed.
To see the day
when I can place my arms
my loving arms around you
in a tight embrace and place a
kiss upon your brow.
Only a mother's love

through eternity,
and stand up to all the
things that fate puts our way.
