Like ribbons cross the sky,
the colors interloop in the
fading of sunset casting forth
early shadows of twilight and
of twinkling stars in the sky.
The moon shines with silvery glow,
reflecting like diamonds
upon the ripples of the lake
sparkling with each lapping wave.
The deer prance among the pines
munching on tender shoots of grass
peaceful and serene are they
in the calm of the night.
