I love the way you whisper
so softly in my ear
I love the way I have to
lean close so I can hear

I love the way we're both alike
and all the ways we're not
I love the way I've started to like
these feelings that I've got

I love the way we smile
about any given thing
I love the way you don't hold back
and tell me everything

I love the way we're both serene
and safe upon this seat
I love this place,this lovely scene
which I feel can't be beat

I love the way that we have grown
in moments to be friends
I love the closeness that you've shown
and hope it never ends

I love the lack of modesty
the fact that we can touch
our hands can brush so innocently
without it hurting much

I love the words that you can say
and all that remain unheard
I love the silly games we play
the ones that seem absurd

I love the fact that you are here
right in this very spot
but what I know I'll hold so dear
is how you haven't forgot.
