In the corner of a beating heart;
Lies a secret everyone will miss
The depths of tragedy aren't this far away
A barrier from that fatal kiss
Of feeling.
She never looks back in fear,
Fear of seeing the pain she contains.
With the shadows that reveals the truth
Her eyes will simply turn away
From feeling.
The brick walls that separates the mind,
She cannot not give up and lie down
And even though she can sense her tears,
You will never see her frown
With feeling.
The only imperfection that she knows;
To be defeated,
To not be strong,
To show her remorse
She knows nothing of "wrong".
But in the soles of her shoes
In the patches on her torn dress
Remains the words she never says
Never shows,
Never acknolwedges
But she remembers:
Yet she can never surrender.
"I love you"
"I need you"
"I'm all alone"
"I'm never alone"
"I can never breathe"
"Why won't I stop breathing?"
"I'm really in pain"
"I'm not OK".
She hates herself, she isn't perfect
But she feels she has no "imperections".
No, to me they aren't the same.
