I love the way you shuffle your feet
in the morning, rubbing sleepy green eyes.
And the way you fold yourself up like a cat
on the couch, watching TV I know bores you.
I love the way you smile so often
about everything, and brighten my day.
And how you work hard like your father
at your job, tiring as it may be.
I love the way you always hug us
at night, when you're going to bed.
And the fact that you're still here
in our home, figuring out life.
Simply put, I love YOU.
