Wanting to jump through a trampoline
into a parallel universe,
where everything occured less confusingly
Only to bounce off lightly, worthlessly,
onto the suddenly hard ground
to remind me that reality is where I live.
Inhaling my life away,
as fast as I'm possibly able,
thinking this will help me forget,
not realising, that letting tears ruin my make up
would be much more releasing
into a parallel universe,
where everything occured less confusingly
Only to bounce off lightly, worthlessly,
onto the suddenly hard ground
to remind me that reality is where I live.
Inhaling my life away,
as fast as I'm possibly able,
thinking this will help me forget,
not realising, that letting tears ruin my make up
would be much more releasing
Author notes
I still hate the ending
PS: before, i had written here that this was for people that started smoking when they were affected by something. There are different views to it. This will mean something different for different people if they can relate. And no, I don't smoke.
Please tell me what you think

Oh. This is a interesting poem that you have penned in here. I read your author notes and I don't think that I would have guessed at that whole situation if you hadn't told us. But I did get the feeling of someone who needed to escape life and dealing with it for a little while. I felt a need to have some time alone. That's what I got from this. I thought you did a good job of expressing yourself.

I love the imagery in the beginning, I could absolutely relate to it. Wouldn't it be great if big kids could just use the trampoline and imagination to deal with lifes pain? Great job.

GREAT POEM
Before I read the author notes I thought the "inhaling my life away" line referred to smoking pot. Great poem showing the struggle to cope with "whatever" without harming yourself in the process. I really liked this. Ms. Morrow

i really like this poem an the way its writen, i can really relate to it... well the beginning at least....
dont worry i havent started smoking or anything, its just i can understand what u mean about the last 5 lines- 'Inhaling my life away, as fast as i'm possibly able, thinking this will help me forget.....' and so on. the way i look at it, smoking is just another way of escape, and sometimes we all need that, dont we!
love you lots

Maria, Please if you have started to smoke quit now while you are young my dear niece. We all get brought into a low place in life so many times, it is that trampoline that helps us to bounce back. That is our faith. This is very deep and sad, I wish I had been here when you messaged earlier. I was out running some errands. Release those tears that need to be released, makeup can always be reapplied. You have all my thoughts and prayers with you always. You do have my email address also if you need to send me anything. Love always, from your auntie Joyce xoxoxoxoxo
Extra hugs.
