Where Love Comes From

Your parting gift to me was love
entrusted such that I would share
with precious ones for whom you care

To take that light so bright did shine
to treasure it now make it mine
and in my own and special way
send forth the things that love would say

As each to own a gift is given
our stories do we tell

Creations speaking artistry
hand formed bestow delight
seeped from pure souls shine loveliness
keep warm the coldest night

So thank you friend of late of mine
we have become now intertwined
and henceforth will my song then be

I give to you what he gave me.

Beautifully written. It flows with a natural rhythm. I really love this one! Keep the ink flowing and good luck!

this is quite beautifully composed... I love that you entered a rhyming form and made it work... the flow does not seem to be forced at all, in any places... it reminds me of poems of old that rhymed and maintained meaning, neither form nor message compromised... you have done quite well with this entry, poet... thank you for sharing it here!
