Watch as the sun soars the sky
Its unchanging course which it flies
Dependable and reliable, coming back
But there is night, the dark attack
And a sole tree is lost from sight
"Why did you abandom me to this night?"
His voice calls out to his queen
Time goes, and the tree begins to lean.
The thunder came and lightening fought
"She is her, but alas touch her I cannot"
He speaks against the pouring fury
No thought in her eyes of worry
This tree must contain his fire
Because he could become a storm's pyre
The sun passes by yet again, the next day
Her love for him forces him to stay
The tree's longing is twisting him
He branches are growing limb over limb
The madness of the fire is blinding
But alas her eyes are still sparkling.
