I picked a beautiful red rose
It bit my finger and made me bleed
I brushed off a bee after it stung
Blood changed from red to green
I wiped away someone else’s tears
From their eyes they fell as one
Of complicated and hidden fears
Pain and sorrow is all that flows
I breathed in the fragrance of a flower
And the pollen made me sneeze
Went and closed the gate on my hand
After it was pushed closed by a breeze
I helped a child build a castle out of sand
Built a moat to hold in the sea
And a wall to keep out enemies
Love is where kindness draws its power
And lastly I watered my parched garden
Then stepped on a forgotten hidden rake
Up it flew into my face with a loud smack
Bloodied my nose as I swore for gawd sakes
Tripping over the hose as gravity fights back
Landing in a bed of flowers and broken thorns
A trail of destruction from trying to do the right thing
Times like these make a me wish I was never born
Carved and bloody nature’s whip a painful sting
Trying to heal a wound instead I create Armageddon.
My Kindredblood

Strange but wonderful
I think you did a wonderful job here.
What was beautiful, tarnished a twist of fate, and you did this is well
