You cannot rush the gale
Nor can you hide from the shadows
Nor can you forget the sorrow
They walk by life’s side
Two steps behind
Holding tightly to its hand
You cannot rush the gale
You must see the dark places
You must face the blight
You can try to resist it
And stay in the light
But the time will be coming
Coming soon
And you will face the storm
It…
It comes
The clouds meet
Thunder roars
The air is still
Drops begin to fall
Gray sky overhead
It comes faster now
As the storm clouds gather
Holding tight to their basins
Holding fast to their reservoirs
Holding back the furious storm
The storm, the wind, the furious gale
And then
The demons break their hold
Bolts of lightning strike
And from out of the clouds
Comes the flood of life
You must face the hailstones
You must face the rain
You must face the lightning
You must face the pain
You must face the thunder
So await the attack
You must face the tempest
And the skies of black…
But remember
After the storm has faded
Revel
All is silent in the world
As the creatures come from hiding
To enjoy the peace again
No one escapes
So do not fear the furies to come
Not all is forgiven
So do not mourn past angers
The storms come and pass
According to their own time
Therefore
No matter how you try
You cannot rush the gale
