Pulse in blood rises quick from the bone floods
the heart. The moon caught in a song that flows silver
catches the dance in the river deep and long. Dreams
on wings follow to the ocean toss where the ships launched
creak in wood seeking their long lost home. The adventurer
is coming home. These moments of grace when stars are found
in the eyes and all of space comes back from forever to rest upon
the tongue to sing, “here is where you belong.” The forked flight
of the crane on marsh’s morn joins hand with the wisdom
found in the owl’s whispered night as clouds catch the morning’s
birth to spiral around us. What was once wrong is gone. Love is
flowing through us with the joy we have always known. We
are joined to the beat of the world ‘neath earth and hard stone,
the wind that captures the breeze and drives the rain home. We learn
rest in each others arms, for far more is gained by sharing than keeping.

Such a romantic, beautiful, touching scent of love this is.....
This is amazing and the ending is so perfect...

Thanks Lynda - Just wanted to catch a little magic and share a sense of wonder, love only shows up when it is shared and I loved sharing it with you.
Love, Tom B.

I see a second person writing this and you letting them.... that works...

No matter how enticing the bunnies, there is scant hope of capturing my muse

"Love isn't love until it's given away." The idea of song-filled space is how symphonies begin, in layers of harmony...even the thunder and rain become typany of the heart, and we pulls arms close about us when stars cast their tears in silver slivers upon the sea.
...resounding imagery in "whispered nights as clouds catch morning..."

The sheer delight that this poem provides made me dance while it grew before my eyes. I am so glad you love the way the day is handed off from the night. Love, Tom B.

There is a song in every heart, some one carries the complement that makes it all become harmony.
Thanks for all of your kind words.

love the subtle internal rhyme
dispersed/interspersed throughout...beautifully and visually descriptive...

Glad to hear you pick up on that. I like to use it to tie it together and add emphasis and beat. The visuals are for the show and dreams.

Maybe...
This big dreamer, this lonesome wanderer has finally found what he had been seeking all along. Back at home in his lovers arms. Forgiveness and a safe place to fall... I am hearing the forlorn horn in Bob Seger's song, Turn The Page... Can ya hear it? Ithica

-
I hadn't thought of that till you mentioned it.
I just played this against my signs of magic in nature. I let the images play and the music stir. but I think you are right about that horn. Love, Tom B..

I forgot to applaud you, my bad......novy

Excellent Write & Musical Passion
Now I could hear a country singer, really pulling out the message of belonging. I also herad a chorus from the line: [The adventurer is coming home, here's where you belong.] These words are that of a beautiful ballard. but I just had to have a chorus.
Since I play piano and sing a little....I just love this and am pro country. Lyric of love and life...You go Tom! this really beautiful words................Novy

You caught the way I tied it together with a strong lyrical undertone. I should have known. But it seemed needed to make it work.

glad you enjoyed.

Beautiful...simply beautiful! I am smitten with your words, and nuances that speak so gently to my heart. There is Earth, and sky, and water, and cosmos, all combined into one unified twine of love. A beauteous work of poetry my dear brother. Thank you for always delighting my spirit.
Always ♥

It is a delight to your spirit because it is a song you know all the words to.

lol Well I know the contest said 15 lines but I think when you sense the joy and the magic when the words write you, you just keep going lol. This is so beautiful capturing two hearts together as one yet free enough to let them find the joy for themselves and one another. Good luck in your contest, it is sheer magic. Love, C

This is just my description of one very small part of the River that is love for us all to partake in.

You pen of many things that leave me in awe...but none moreso than your love. Beautiful my dear...

Love is not about a relationship though it opens the door of possiblities. Love is just being a channel to the greater river and allowing it to flow unimpeded to all who would swim as one.

Speechless, Typeless and breathless~
An endless beauty of a poem with intimacy rippling throughout it's entirety. You caught two hearts this time because I'm here right now with a friend judging a contest so please know that this is multiplied by 2

I will comment more indepth when we both catch our breath
Always a pleasure dear friend~

Much love and many Blessings~
