It started one day
with a boy named Jay
A girl he loved
It kills me to say
They met in the woods
Just selling some goods
When what met was their eyes
They felt a sudden surprise
Understanding this feeling
they begun with the reeling
they cast both hooks
hoping they would accept the looks
The bait was taken, a tug on the line
They didn't believe the catch was this fine
Both ended with a kiss
knowing their one true wish
Later, one day a rumor was spread
She was a witch "off with her head"
right before they rode away
Jay realized he had something to say
"I love this woman she is not a witch
let me take her place i offer a switch"
to this they all laughed
then it was quiet as gas
finally a man had spoke
he said "is this but a joke"
we will burn the two
from head to their shoe
Later with the crackling of fire
this all began because of a liar
both on the cross
a terrible loss
this was a mistake people wrongly accused
the people began to laugh slightly amused
the girl screaming in pain
teardrops coming down like rain
Jay looked at her a feeling of guilt
"why couldn't i have been singly killed"
he looked in her eyes
letting go so many cries
he held out his hand
"baby to the promised land"
she looked starting to cry
"baby are we going to die"
smiling his best
like a mother watching over her nest
"baby please don't cry
for by my side you'll never die"
