Do you remember the night that we got cold?
Curled up inside of our dreams
And the memories that could be so solemn
May never work out as they seem
So when will you change your address?
To make things seem closer to safe
I guess you could say I'm still depressed
But at least things are looking quite great
With this magic I speak, and this love that I keep
My days overcast with gray
Well, the worst night I think, is the one where my winks
Are caught spent alone in my bed
So when will you say "I love you"?
Like that night I stepped off the bus
And when will my promises come true?
If I don't believe in my own trust
How may days will it take
Until the night that we wake
Into kisses and passionate eyes?
I wanted to come down and see him tonight
Despite the tears and the heart that I've lost
But it's over now, I can't go back to that place
I do believe it's time to move on
When will you show me the right way to smile?
Promise you'll never tell me you love me, anyhow
So I fall unto my knees
All fragile and weak
And I pray for these fears to work out
With eyes that pierce diamond
And lips that flare passion
I bring myself to ask,
"Why do we fall in love?
And why don't I feel like smiling all that much?"
But the terms, they are settled
Negotiations are over
For now we're all basking in bliss
When the voices they scream
But you're not sure what they mean
Translation can be quite a bitch
But at least for tonight, under this crescent moonlight
We feel peaceful and really, quite free
Author notes
New song etc. Yeah.

This is a nice piece.
Its true what people say, we are our own downfalls. AND love plays a huge part in that!

I love this - I think it works more as a song than a poem but is fantastic either way. Would love to hear it put to music.
