I see you
hiding in your secret world
a world that's ready to fall apart
I know how much it hurts
in matters of the heart

so your love deceited you
at least she has not defeated you
give it time, your wounds will heal

Forget her
instead of remembering pain
take shelter
from tears that fall like rain

smile
it will make you feel fine
some fine day
this world will be yours and mine
we'll work out a way

I've gotta go with the crowd and say I loved this as well. I have lived what you write about, and the advice you give in those final lines is so fitting. It's so hard to move on after love has burnt you, but with a friend like you, I think it'll be a little easier for them.

Note: I think you mean 'deceived' not 'deceited'.
