Perhaps the thought
of aging
first entered my mind
when I was young
But I seriously
doubt it
Time then was irrelavent
for the most part
This present obscured
by the fuzzy
black
and white
picture tube's conception
of future
The time clock
was simply
a devise
Of the serious elders
They concerned themselves
with trival matters
such as
punctuality
Because they themselves
having too quickly aged
concerned themselves
with trival matters
Please tell me what you think

The only technical glitch I can mention is the misspelling of "seriously". I love the title, and your descriptions of the perceived immortality that youth has convinced itself it possesses is amazing. This is a thoughtful and reflective poem, but I enjoy the subtle humor of the piece. One cannot truly grow old if one is able to retain that humor.
