Angel wings, so soft and broad
Mother's touch, so tender, so gentle
Your simple beauty, yet somehow complex.
In your eyes is hope and laughter
Sweetness exists in your angelic soul.
Angel wings, so invisible but noticed,
Noticed by us undeserving sinners.
Gorgeous eyes, so emerald green like that of a city,
Emptiness never exists in a soul so full of love and life
Life and love are visible, nearly tangible, in those beautiful eyes.
In the vision of these glorious eyes, love, security, overshadow all else.
Call the angle by her name; call her Amy, while I call her Mom.
Author notes
This is about the love I have for my mother. I wrote it for her for her birthday and she seemed to really enjoy it. I hope the same applies for everyone else.

The title of your poem caugt my attention.
I love Angels, all kinds of angels. In fact you could say I study them, read about em and stuff.
I absolutley love how you put this piece together for your mom.
The ending is so sweet and a bit surprising.
Call the angel by her Name; call her Amy, while call her Mom.
I bet this is something your mother will keep forever next to her heart.
