Terribly sad
Some people fight for them
Some people just ignore that fact
There's people in the world that need helping
Help fight this to the very end
Innocent fight for lives!!
This can't be real...
Cancer

Kera, thank you for your lovely poem and heart felt offering, it is wonderful to have your poem posted here. It really does not feel real at times, when facing a disease like cancer and when you get it you do, indeed, have to fight. Thank you for helping in the fight.
blessings and best wishes,
~r.

Do you know
If we started a roll for women where each of us pays a dollar a month and thats all women there wouldnt be not one woman that would be told they couldnt have the proper care for her desease because of money . I wonder why we as women dont stick together for this would help so many get the meds and operations they need

I honestly feel this is one of the most worthy contests I have seen on this site in a very long time. My great grandmother died of breast cancer after a ten year battle so this is something that is dear to my heart. Good luck in the contest dear poet. ~Midnight Lace

Kera, thank you so much for entering your poem, “Awareness” into my contest, Breast Cancer Awareness, it is an honor to have your work posted here and your voice and unique perspective is a welcome addition. This is a boilerplate note that I place on all poems entered to let you know I have reviewed your poem and have made my initial observations. Please feel free to add to or modify your poem as I will make my final assessments after the close of contest. I will judge the contest approximately ten days after that and will make any additional comments at that time. Thank you, again, I truly do appreciate your effort and wish you best of luck in the contest.
Blessings and best wishes,
~r.

it is very sad. I have lost many in my family to cancer but not to breast cancer. It's great that you have such knowledge of this at your age. good luck!
