Breaking Free

Treasure me for when I am gone you will never know . . .
Who, What, When, or Why you left me or If I left you.
You will never feel my touch again
Never hear my voice the way you once heard it before
Never feel this warm embrace in this place
You threw me out your heart and your mind
Can you turn back the hands of time?
Don't worship me, value me, all of me
For everything that I can do for you, and have done to you
Don't change me, teach me, and help me grow
You pushed me aside when it was convenient for you
The love I gave wasn't enough for you, you always wanted more
Maybe I gave too much, just maybe you wanted less
Me feeling I'm bringing you heart felt stress.
Be my protector  . . .  shield me from anything that may hurt me
Be my teacher show me things I have yet to learn
Mold me and sculpt me into the woman you want me to be
Explore my body, examine every inch
The inside is just as good as the outside if not better
I'm not perfect I do have imperfections
Every day I look in the mirror trying to make corrections.
Take a good look at me for you have been looking through me
Pass and beyond, over and below, we together no longer flow
Piercing y heart with your words and your actions
Unappreciated is how I have been feeling
Not getting what I truly and so desperately deserve
Feeling so unwanted and very alone in this house that is not a home
I truly need and want to roam.
My destiny is clearly unknown, but here I no longer belong.
