The Calling

My nostrils flare,
The salty air
Is penetrating me.

I can't resist
The ocean's mist.
I'm fated for the sea!

And waves may fall,
The Sirens call,
But it's my destiny!

Please tell me what you think

I liked this with its rhyme and perfect iambics. Short yet sweet that ended on a sour note possibly for the siren who had no other fate. My best, ♥ Belle

A bit of a stretch for the contest theme, but I love the word choice in this. I imagined it being turned into a song even. Grest imagery; keep up the great work.
