Free to leave...

Where can I find her, here in America?
This 'land of the free' is not so free.
It is a trial to enter this land
It is not free to those who seek her help...
It is not free to those who desire a new life...
It is not free to one who would leave and
seek a companion soul of Industan.

A love I desire
can, and must
be touched.
To die and never to see
that face, that heart,
those hands, those eyes!
My need is so great...
and yet I live....
alone, and alone, and alone...

Show me this garden where my mind
and heart live freely...
Show me the soul that fits to mine.

Please tell me what you think

The opening of a souls heart

a prayer to the quarters of the Earth

    a wish to the stars

    very powerful indeed

    thank you

I loved the entire second stanza. Sounds like something I went through at one point in my life. Not as far as immigration goes, but as far as emotions go.

Definitely great. I love how this poem is like the thoughts of a person dying to get in. The urgency within your poem's lines just amaze me.

Way to go!! Keep it up!

Thanks for reading. This is more about me getting out, but I see it the way you saw it now too. Urgency, that's good, right? Later, AG

Well I can understand the depth..and you made me to ponder on the point where you said that you can not get your love in America..you pointed out a culture of love which does not fit to your own culture of the soul...then yes..you are alone..but wehat I feel that marriages are made in heaven..you will definately get the soulmate of your wish..your requirement is very fair and God will hear to your wish..a great sacred verse is here..

Lol. Thanks, I have heard it's easy to get in there, but I don't like the cold so much. Later, AG

Don't mind at all..look into immigration and citizenship entrance policies and fees attached. It's not easy to get in, nor is it easy to enter other countries...barriers are everywhere to free movement...much in the name of security...and much in the name of prejudice; racial, religious, political, whatever...Not a judgement here, just an observation. Thanks for reading...Later, AG
