Special friends are gifts
Wrapped in golden wrappers
That drop from heaven

Grab it and cherish them
Coz these are those who would last
Who would make an impact in your lives
Or even change it if possible

People who would stand by you
When you’re suffering alone
And need someone’s hand to hold

When you can count on no one
They’ll be right beside you
To walk the same path you take in life

Though there might be problems in the way
Just move on and show love and care
Coz they’re the ones who would understand

Tell these special friends how much
They mean to you often
Coz it’ll just make your bond stronger

These people can fight and not
Talk to each other for a whole day
But silence can’t last in them any longer than that

Trying to figure out what went wrong
Why hurt and pain was caused
Apologizing to make sure their friendship doesn’t end

Special friends are those who would
Not wait for a miracle to happen
But make one for you!

    A sweet poem which reminded me of all my friends. Really touching. I can relate to it coz I recently had a fight with a friend but we could not stay silent for more than a day!!

    but i have to remove your poem from my contest. perhaps i should have been more clear that it's a contest for POETS without trophies, not POEMS without trophies. and i must say your trophies abound!! but thanks anyway
