flesh and soul

descending to three
gray  matter
clouds
and heaven
seeng both sides of me
my flesh laid below me
while my soul soared
light as a feather and free
not pulled down by gravity
flesh and soul held by a single illuminized imbilical cord
and all  is done  by thoughts in the spirit world or a least that was the way it was for me

This makes me think of birth. Maybe the "umbilical cord" did it. Even the words; "gray matter". Sometimes I wish I could remember being born, where I was before being in my mother's womb, how it felt, what it tasted like... But then again, it may have been painful for me like it is for the mother giving birth so...I change my mind. LOL This is a very interesting poem. Quite the introspective work here poet.

Congratulations on winning the Emerald Trophy!

    Much Love ♥

There were a few things that were a tad bit confusing to me here. The major one being the use of the word IMBIBICAL. Did you perhaps mean to use the word "umbilical"? It seems like it to me, but I'm not even certain where your thoughts were going here so I may be way off base. Another thing I noticed was that in line six you use LAYED, should that not be "laid"? I guess I sound a bit petty and I surely don't mean to. I'm just curious. This contest has me intrigued. Good luck to ya!
