Believe

Missing image
Don't ever give up,
with every ounce of energy
and each breath you take,
believe!

Relish every sunrise,
bask in the glory of each day
and smile beneath the moon light,
believe!

Don't wait till tomorrow,
embrace your family close
give them all your love,
believe!

Enjoy nature's beauty,
savor its every scent
rejoice at its touch,
believe!

Don't give up,
believe!

I remember the time we were all in prayer for Alpha, the time of testing for all. I knew you a bit, in passing comments back and forth, but got to see your heart, your compassion during that time. We have no real way of knowing the impacts of our lives with other lives, the way a thread through the tapestry moves, carries its line of hope, of belief...who will see that weaving and wonder at its complexity, its beauty...i have been allowed to see one thread, a tiny portion of that thread and have been moved to tears so many times because of it. I believe we will one day stand overlooking all our sorrowed pain, charred memory, to see them turn to brilliant jewels in His presence…that we will then understand the reasons “why” Your tribute to Alpha is wonderful and makes the heart swell with hope.
Thank you for entering the contest, your poem here means a great deal to me.
    Blessings and best wishes,

    ~r.

Sam it is funny but we as a family really learned to savour life to its full extent when my dear wife was first diagnosed with the disease.
I agree with every word written here, each day is to be cherished and enjoyed for what it is another one to be shared with those you love and who love
    Wonderful

'Beleive.... 'Thank you so much for sharing this with us. This is so uplifting. 'For whoever would draw near to God must beleive He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him' Hebrews 11:6. God bless.

It's so hard to comment on pieces such as this. I feel like any words I might project would be so inadequate. I know when I grieve for someone I love and lost, sometimes the best thing another person can give is simply a so that is what I am leaving here.

Pam, thank you so much for entering your poem, “Believe” into my contest, Breast Cancer Awareness, it is an honor to have your work posted here and your voice and unique perspective is a welcome addition. This is a boilerplate note that I place on all poems entered to let you know I have reviewed your poem and have made my initial observations. Please feel free to add to or modify your poem as I will make my final assessments after the close of contest. I will judge the contest approximately ten days after that and will make any additional comments at that time. Thank you, again, I truly do appreciate your effort and wish you best of luck in the contest.

    Blessings and best wishes,

Once again you have eclipsed yourself with your writings. I'm sure your sister is smiling with pride at your most beautiful words for her. Good luck in the contest. You have chosen a most worthy one. But going back to the poem itself, thank you for reminding all of us that we MUST always believe.
    In God's Love,
    Joan
