virtue

Finally the timing seemed right and all the signs pointed in the same direction, yet she was still unable to make the move.  Had she waited and tried so patiently that she had become unaffected by the years of accumulated damage and could now not distinguish between adulation and abomination. Patiently she still sits waiting for the wood bees to finish carving holes into the siding and watching the ivy grow up the trellis.

I like it alot. The last sentence is sweet, and I feel like I can connect.

Well, I like what you have so far! (think also it would be a great start to a novel!)
I like this. Shows a lot of depth to the feelings and emotions.
I like how it says, to me, that even after all the waiting and knowing the signs are right, you still wait to make that final move. And while you are waiting, you watch the simple things in life - to fill your concentration until you can break free and make your move.
    I like this.
