Alone I stand in the world
Nothing upon my shoulders
All I have has gone
Nothing left nothing there
All that I knew
All that I was
Everything turned to dust
All the pleasures fell away
Death rose from the ashes
Mortality defines and stole my heart clean away
Broke my tender mind
Shattered hearts broken on the ice and snow
Shattered like glass fragments of my past
All that I was is now never again
All that I wish to be is tragic and dim
Broken I stand in pieces
Smokes hazy glare diminishes
Waking on the sunrise
Rising again from heartbreak
All alone in the winters evenings
I trespass in my own secret world
The gardens gave way for desolate plains
Architectural demons
Anarchic self deviance
Eyes aglow with hidden meanings
I stand alone and pray
I hear the silence shouting at me
Screaming into my body and soul
Cracks mar the crystal clarity
As alone I fall to ruin
Alone I break away as dust upon the breeze
There is nothing left for me
In blackness and shattered sanity
To the first frost I owe my soul
It completes me, makes me whole
To the icy biting lunacy
The binds of dreamtime weaken
Bonds that snap in howls of laughter
Whilst all along I whisper
I speak against the silent soundtrack called my life
All that I knew
All that I was
All the pieces that never seemed to fit
All the empty promises never kept
A lock that had no key
A door that led to nothing
Force fed my own guilty hopelessness
I dream of empty wonders
My eyes see nothing
My ears hear nothing
My face expressionless
No textures. Blank, the world is fading
Fades like snapshots long past dated
So with this fades my memories
My own individualities
I break.
I shatter on the wind
Scattered and formless again
I drift on a sea of stillness
To settle at last in the void.
