My Menu

My Menu

For appetizers, I'd have Tortellini shrimp kabobs
well seasoned with delicious side of buttery corn cobs.

As entrée, savoury  Kilpatrick oysters I would choose
and garlic bread, still hot, that goes down very well with booze.

A chicken cordon bleu main course (a favourite of our Queen's),
with sauté small potatoes and a bowl of fresh green beans.

Salmon supreme alternative with orange cranberry sauce
and sliced potatoes rosti with some vegetables of course.

Dessert would be a raspberry and white chocolate cheese cake
well topped off with diced berries, sauce and dark brown choco flake.

A variety of wines I'd offer (Scotch for the King to consume)
with cocktails for the ladies, served pre-dinner in the sitting room.

Tea and coffee also would be served to every guest;
my uniformed, trained staff will serve each one upon request.

I am so hungry now. I love food, love for food, ok, that might be a slight exaggeration, but I do like eating. The tortellini and cordon bleu, if I attend, you better have a lot of it. The only thing I'd chabge for me would of course be Moxie, but the rest, you made me hungry. Have to go to the fridge and see what I can find.

First I've read for this contest but I think it's a definite contender.

    Cheesecake, yum.

Great feast fit for the King, his Queen and everybody else!

Makes me think of the scene in the movie "When Harry Met Sally", when the customer in the restaurant says, "I'll have what she's having." (This menu could cause a person to have a real "O" (like the fake one Meg Ryan had).

Best of Luck in the contest!

    Hugs,

    Dear Jenelda

I'm going to love this banquet if your menu's one that wins
for I can see you've chosen nothing coming out of tins!
And all those charming waitresses with uniforms just right,
their low-cut necklines just the thing to whet my appetite!

I'm glad to see you thought of me when choosing your entree
coz oysters are my favourite food done almost any way.
I love Kilpatrick oysters though a Mornay'll closely run it
and I love raw oysters served the way that Hinemoa's done it.

The only problem was, I found, when served from underneath,
they're difficult to swallow and I lost both sets of teeth!

An absolutely splendid menu, fit for a King.
    Good luck in the voting.
Applause, love and hugs, XXX Hugh (R.)
