Diet

Missing image
A guilty conscience has three eyes.
One of which is a chocolate
covered marzipan,
with blood-shot veins of sugar.

I am the prefect of the
confectionary box.
One by one I commit
adultery with every caramel
and peanut moment of cocoa.

I was elected by the strawberry
mouse wrapped in foil.
Until I unwrapped it,
seduced it and devoured it.
By then it was too late for
a re-election.

Then, I ate the third eye
in one bite.
Creamy candy rippled
over my tongue.
Guilt felt sweeter mashed-up
in my stomach, hidden
and digested.

Lol,are we one and he same person??? Your poem is scrumpteous.

I love the way you've devoured each tasty morsel, as would I, given half the chance. Unfortunatly I'm stranded without transportation today so can't make a trip to the candy store. But maybe I can survive for awhile just by re-reading your poem.

I love it, and hey, try not to feel guilty... all of that luceous chocolate and fruits and creaminess are good for you. Together they probably make up an almost balanced diet (Chocolate is a vegie, ya know)

Yum, I like this write-clever, amusing, but kinda makes a big point too-
    Guilt felt sweeter mashed-up
    in my stomach, hidden
    and digested.

Great lines, cool idea. Off to scoff chocolate.

Haha that was a great ida for a poem and I liked the name in contrast. I think nobody should feel guilty for what they eat, it is a part of you as much as the clothes you wear and the books you read. Don't feel guilty!
