Secret Eyes

Happyness is my facade.

My eyes hold a deep secret,

as I smile and laugh.

People never care to notice

the secret that screams from within these eyes.

They only see the stoic smile

of a broken soul.

I stand in the crowed

living a time stilled life,

while others pass me by.

Darkness looms over

head as I shed my dry tears,

that fall to blind eyes

and deaf ears.

The pitiful sound

of cruel judgmental words,

and cackles of unforgiving laughters,

echo through my paranoia.

Slowly I become a hollowed shell,

of robotic happiness.

Ounce by ounce

being filled with empty emotions.

Author notes

I wrote this last night and ended up falling asleep without really knowing it shortly after reading the last stanza. It's not where I wanted to end it, but I lost the mood to continue it. To me it seems like it should end differently, but for now that's how it'll be.

I'm also working on a title.

Please tell me what you think
