Author notes
"You know, i'm "better" now- better in the sense that if I want to eat healthy, I have a salad and a baked potato instead of a celery stick and an ice cube. But sometimes... sometimes I look in the mirror and I think, I will never be happy until the day I see the numbers I want on that scale. Sometimes I poke at my stomach and and my thighs and I realize that no one ever really gets "better". And it breaks my heart. It tears me to pieces knowing that one day a few years ago I decided that nothing mattered more to me than being what everyone else wanted me to be- and because of that, i'll never be normal again."
