She closes her eyes in the darkness
And remember that no one is there
She clutches her pillow to her chest
And whispers her lonely prayer
Please God can you hear me
I’m so alone down here
This pain that leaves me so empty
Has me drowning in my tears
I try so hard to be strong
To pretend that I’m alright
But something about this seems so wrong
