Who I was
loved you so much
who I am
can not.
Who I was
only had eyes for you
who I am
can’t look.
Who I was
couldn’t think of anyone else but you
who I am
can’t stand to do that.
Who I was
was a love struck man
who I am
Knows better?
Who I was, and who I am
Are two very different people.
When I actually open my eyes
I see so many things that make me sad
When before, all I saw was you.
I'm proud of who I was, but not who I am
But the truth is I sometimes wish I were still
Who I was.

brillantly written...loved the two
voices speaking in this poem when I was reading the
poem I noticed I was nodding my head in agreement with
YOU! great entry for this contest, good luck, this
would be very fun to read to them, light a candle and
darken the room.
Thankyou for your entry.
