Importance of Life

Melted candy cane on babies' eyes,
a delight,
so sweet,
so compelling.
Little do we know,
we disregard such things.

"The meaning is put forward in simple words and the simplicity shrouds the meaning and which in turn forces the reader to think."
Exactly what I was trying to say, but failing to find the words.
    Great write here
Thankyou for entering and good luck

    Simple yet cryptic.

The meaning is put forward in simple words and the simplicity shrouds the meaning and which in turn forces the reader to think.

Why does this force me to regret? What is hidden beyond that meaning? I need to think...

    Excellent poesy. I love it.

A wonderful idea and the form of this poem makes it even more compelling, magnificent.

But the last line bothers me a bit - hmmm. Maybe "such a thing" ?

    Perplexing

Well it certainly does have a message but what it is that one can say, does this mean the same to all those who read it? I say no, to me this smacks of the hidden and repressed thoughts that men carry deep within thier hearts.

Let the beast called life roam freely that it may yet devour you whole, shirt, tie, shoes and all.

I like It, I like it so.

This is put very simply, but it makes one think so much.
I say reality is just the chaos of fiction (yeah I know it's my motto but it's true). All the frantic fanatics in the world make everyone else rush life, reality is growing, life just needs to slow down.
    Well written poem.

the extreme irony is that we are all so preoccupied with making a living, we disregard 'living'....who has time to dwell into realities-- a true appreciation of living well...we have appointments, deadlines; we rush through the day, try to stay up and catch up on piled work...sleep briefly and wake up so tired--and its just the start of another day!!!!!!!!
