There was his baby girl
Long pants, Long shirt
Long black hair, black nails
Face covered in black makeup
She Lost Herself
A silent depression took over me
Bad memories overrun the good
I couldn't handle it
So I changed.
It was my silent cry for help
But no one heard me
I was alone, I was scared
I was lost
Change Can Be So Constant
That You Don't Feel A Difference
Until There Is One
In the space of three years
She's changed more than you can imagine
She needed to go through the bad
To get to the good
She needed to face the dark
To truly experience the light
She needed to lose herself
In order to find herself
Change Can Be So Slow
That You Don't Know Whether Your Life Is Better Or Worse
Until It Is
A group of people
Showed me a different outlook on life
I could talk about the bad things
And I changed.
Weight was lifted from my shoulders
And I didn't have to deal with everything by myself
I wasn't alone, I wasn't scared
I was free
There was his baby girl
In a dress above her knees
Short golden hair, coloured nails
Face free of makeup
She Found Herself
Please tell me what you think

this is exactly wat i went though, and now that i have changed my frieds keep saying that i have changed too much and that they 'dont like the new me'. well i like the new me, and i hope you like the new you. if you ever hear ANYONE say they dont like who you have changed to, ingore them, coz as long as you are happy nothing else matters.
great write!!! i loved the italics at the end of the first and last verse. keep writing!

Oh, man. I love this poem! Its very well written, and I love how it shows the transformation. I think its an idea that should be better spread. I especially like the parts in which you use comparison, such as:
Change Can Be Constant
That You Don't Feel A Difference
Until There Is One
Definately my favorite part in the whole poem, besides maybe the very last line. :]
