It is the night for chilling mists
No other night is quite like this
A stillness in the air doth lie
A deadly fear doth it imply
Seek you now your sanctuary
Stumble on a mortuary
A ghoulish voice comes from within
Behind you comes a frightful din
Werewolves serenade the moon
Be careful not to sleep nor swoon
For on a night like this one here
Many things bring death and fear
Children play at being ghosts
Packs of witches, vampish hosts
But deep beneath the games and treats
A sinister shadow lurks and creeps
Behind the curtains, bolted doors
Some pretend this night's a bore
But deep behind their calm facade
They know this night the Terrors trod
So go about your nightly tasks
In robes and capes and hats and masks
But remember still that things take flight
To haunt this hallowed horrored night
