Feel here my love, the beating of my heart;
fast beating in my breast because you're near.
Stay near my love and do not draw apart.
Though older now, we have not lost the art
of loving that to younger hearts is dear.
Feel here my love, the beating of my heart.
For some, old-aged, love plays a minor part,
becomes submerged despite an urge quite clear.
Stay near my love and do not draw apart.
We share so much of music and of art,
of things in life for which there is no peer.
Feel here my love, the beating of my heart.
We share so much, and more we can impart,
each to the other, when things seem unclear.
Stay near my love and do not draw apart.
We share, we love, and have done from the start;
though now grey-haired, as yet we are not sere.
Feel here my love, the beating of my heart.
Stay near my love and do not draw apart.

I like this. I like the idea of love lasting throughout the ages of your life. Love is not just for the very young. But for the older more wiser of us as well. Thanks for sharing this with us and thanks for entering it into my contest.

old-aged? awwww, why not aged old, the bewildering discord I have pleasure in cross over, to intstigate that olde worth, seems to be more worthy if it had been, despite, the urge, that reemerges clear, instead of becomes submerged despite an urge quite clear. But ultimately a lovely verse in all. Sir William.
