Untitled Love

as i look around, i see them
the couples, they're everywhere
at school, the mall, restaurants
absolutely everywhere
and as much as i hate to admit it
i'm jealous of them
it really must be nice
to be able to see your significant other
every day of the week
to be able to hang out with them
hold hands and have long talks
kiss and hug in the hallways before class
and just plain spend time with them
it is quite the depressing situation for someone like me
yes i have someone
but he's so far away
i never see him
i miss him terribly every day
but i have something that others don't
i have true love
yeah, you may think you have it too
but consider this
does your partner actually like you
for yourself, not only for your looks
would they call you just to say they love you
do they call you every night, no matter what
would they stay home from plans
just to talk to you and make sure you're ok
do you both talk about the future together
does your partner want to be with you forever
or are they using you
until someone better comes along
do you tell each other you love each other
and actually mean it
you have to ask yourself some of these questions
because most people don't even know what love is
they think just because they're atrracted to someone
that they love that person
well, sorry to bring you back to reality
but that is not the case
so stop going around saying things like
"i love him so much, he's so hot"
that's not love
that's attraction
and no, you're not in love with them
if you've only been dating for a week
stop being stupid
