The Heart is a Fine China Bowl

The heart is a fine china bowl
Sitting on your kitchen shelf,
Only brought out on special occasions
To be filled with the best to offer.
If you're careless one day,
It gets broken, chipped, or shattered.
If you're lucky one day,
Someone's able to fix it.
But each chip, scratch, crack,
Each drop of glue is a story to tell
And to pass down to each generation.

The heart is a fine china bowl,
And life is what we have to fill it.

Oh I did. The metaphor is a great choice and I love the words, they fit so perfectly. The heart is a fragile thing and we have to take care of it. It's a beautiful poem.
