Meu Fado, My Destiny

There is a dream upon my soul, love
 meu fado, meu fado
Sharing a feeling of tomorrow
through sorrow, through sorrow…

They say that singers roam the country
 there find words of meu amor,
a day will come when they will find us
where time will tremble deep inside us…

In tracing lives of mournful tunes
 while playing sentiments destinies choose
embracing moments along the way

I'm praying for one night alone, with you, to say…

Destiny, destiny!
 an hour of destiny, a thing of beauty
ecstasy, gitana,
and how the flamenco guitars cante fermata...

meu fado, meu fado,
 my soul, meu amor, oh how I love you
two passions, two spirits
sly old gipsy guitars, oh how they knew it...

Read it listening to Meu Fado Meu by Ysabella Brave (pictured above singing this Fado with the sly old gypsy guitars)

my words follow the melody, but are not a translation...

Form Notes:
meu- pronounced 'mew', rhymes with 'two';
the end rhymes in the first two lines are 'soul' and 'fado', the word 'love' is an extension;
'country' and 'amor' are near rhymes, as the Lunar Chant form does not specify exact rhymes!

    You're an All-round Artist!!!

    Another piece of ART you have created here. I admire you for that, coming up with something NEW, something ORIGINAL. There is according to me no one in AP who is doing the same thing. You are VERY SPECIAL in that respect. Now about the poem and the music. It fits so well together... both have a melo-dramatic sound. When you hear the music and read the words, its just a UNITY. I love it!!! VERY WELL DONE.
    (Sleepless nights, but it was worth it, wasn't it? lol)
    Anna.

    I rather enjoy the words as they fall euphonously on the ear without the recording; but the pictures are distracting and the whole is merely complicated by the glossary in the notes. Not for me I am afraid on reflection.
