Watch the sun set
Upon a shore of white
Thinking about the world outside
Will it ever be alright
Here in your own little world
Deep in the crevases of your head
As you lay in the sand
Staring up into the darkening sky
While the ocean laps at your feet
Do you feel that you are dead?
Count the stars in the sky
You'll find the number just as easily
As the reason why
Why the world began to fade
Why past friends gather now as enemies
Like to assemble a masquerade
They hide behind their masks of lies
Hiding a forked tongue behind sharp teeth
Don't come too close
You might just loose your mind
You escape the world of chaos
The reality that claims to be
You find happiness in your mind
Away in your dreams
To a place called nirvana
To leave the cacophony of daily rituals
And ignore the threat of destruction
That no other seems to mind
You fall back into the dark corners
To get away- to hide
But true and everlasting joy
Will be found on the day
That the actions of those in reality
Bring about the end- the greatest catastrophe
When they bring forth the end
When comes the end
Of life
Of death
Of pleasure
Of pain
Of joy
Of sorrow
Of love
Of hate
And all that fall in between
That will be the day
That we find ourselves
In a place that many call heaven
A place that was also known as your dreams
In a small corner in your head
A place your mind percieves
Nirvana
Author notes
If only people would realize the folly of reality and discover that normalcy is really overrated.
